It was our first time back since the reopening and we were very pleased to find the same casual open air atmosphere and friendly neighborhood vibe, like everyone knows everyone. Along with the old things we loved it was good to see the refurbished restrooms, seawall, and bar that needed to be updated/repaired.
Cortez Kitchen's recipe for success is in keeping the menu simple, with a little something for everyone, being sure that it's done right, served quickly coupled with strong drinks and live entertainment.
Our son and grandson met us there and he had chicken basket and my grandson the kids mac & cheese.
Our server Kira was the best; friendly, attentive and took the time to make sure that everyone always had a fresh beverage, and everything was to their liking. The sandwich was a healthy portion of fresh grouper, very lightly blackened and done to perfection. The Lobster Quesadillas were outstanding, not overcooked and a refreshing change from the traditional chicken or steak and my son raved about the chicken basket and he is a true connoisseur. The brussel sprouts were grilled with a carmelized glaze and topped with sesame seeds.
