We haven't been back to the Bridge Tender Inn in some time so we decided to stop in on the way back from Jewfish Key on Saturday. When you go you'll first notice the refurbished docks with plenty of space for all but the busiest weekends.
Known as "BTI" by the locals, it's located on historic Bridge St. at the foot of the Bradenton Beach Pier and features indoor, air conditioned dining along with the waterfront tiki bar. We have yet to make it to the indoor sports bar (featuring 18 screens with every sports package imaginable) as those frosty beverages at the waterfront tiki bar or picnic tables is just irresistible to us!

We started out with the Basa Bites (fried light flaky white fish) and the Shrimpcargot (cheese topped shrimp on a bed of spinach/artichoke served with garlic bread) and then followed that up with a couple blackened shrimp tacos.
As usual, the food came out quickly and exactly as described on the menu and the service was fast, friendly and courteous. On past visits we've enjoyed: Grouper Bites, Chicken Caesar Salad, BTI Nachos, and the Peel and Eat Shrimp and have yet to be disappointed.
On our next visit I'll make a concerted effort to check out the indoor dining but I may have to be blindfolded to get by the waterfront tiki bar overlooking the docks and Bradenton Beach Pier.
