The infamous King of the Beach weather showed up again for the 30th annual version of the spring event. What was very different about this year were the number of boats weighing in fish. Ordinarily the waterway behind the recreation center looks more like a parking lot but this year only saw about 10 boats total though there were a few nice fish that made it to the scales. Congratulations to Team Double Bird for their victory with a 46 pounder!
30th Annual Old Salt Fall King of the Beach Kingfish Tournament is the states richest and longest continually running kingfish tournament! We were blessed with the best weather that we have seen for the competition in at least a few years and the number of participants who decided to come to the weigh in by boat is reflects the same.
The 31st Annual Spring King of the Beach is in the books! Congratulations to Team Wood Butcher on their 49.2lb king and first place finish. Our sincere appreciation to the Old Salts Foundation and all of the sponsors who helped put this great tournament together!
